  • 1859

    First parchmentization of papers through zinc chloride for the production of Vulcanized Fibre by the british chemist Thomas Taylor

  • 1933-1934

    Erection of a production site for Vulcanized Fibre by DYNAMIT AG, Troisdorf and foundation of the division DYNOS. Production was done on two machines on two different procedures (zinc chloride and sulfuric acid) in a thickness range of 0,50 – 60 mm.

  • 1970

    Installation of a new, high capacity production facility on the basis of the zinc chloride procedure as a result of strengthening demand in the sector of Coated Abrasives. Simultaneously retreat from the Commercial Fibre business. 

  • 1987

    Plastics division of DYNAMIT NOBEL AG, including DYNOS Vulcanized Fibre division was sold to Hüls AG in Marl (VEBA Group)

  • 1989

    Company was transferred into Hüls Troisdorf AG – solely for the plastics activities.

  • 1999

    Expansion of DYNOS capacity by 20% with full usage in 2000.

  • 01.01.2005

    HT Troplast AG was sold to venture capital groups Carlyle (USA) and Advent.

  • 01.09.2005

    Spin-off of the division DYNOS to the venture capital group M2 Capital (Switzerland) and company name change into “DYNOS GmbH”.

  • 01.09.2010

    Management buy out.
